  • (Need Help) Issues in running DNA 250 MOD in SS 316L TC Mod

LIke to have some help here.
I have a build on my Siren GTA using SS 316L spaced coil (6 wraps) using UD wire. I am trying to fire it in my DNA 250 ThinkVape Finder at 400 degF but I am getting dry hits and the drip tip also scorches. I have download the CSV file for SS 316L from steamengine and uploaded it to my DNA Mod.
    What am I doing wrong?

I hope you are not firing the coil and then setting the temperature. The coil should be cold, then you set the temperature. Just thinking out loud.

Yup. I am firing with a new cold coil.

What's the resistance you are getting from the build?

Have you put the mod in TC mode? Just asking. Because in TC mode especially on a DNA there is no chance of getting a dry hit. Also, did you set your power in TC mode? That also needs to be done. You can set the power by locking the keys, then pressing the up and down buttons together. This will let you change your power. If your resistance is say 0.6, you should set your power to around 25W. I'm guessing when you enter TC mode, your power is 50W by default. Change it down to 25. Then unlock the keys to change your temp. This is the only thing I can see going wrong. Also, I'm hoping you've primed your coil properly and your wick is wicking nicely.

I am getting a resistance of 0.31 ohms. Yes, the mode in SS 316 TC and the wattage is around 30W. Coil is primed well and is wicking nicely.

Please post a pic of your build. It will be a bit better to find out what could be causing the dry hits.

Thanks, Andy Bhai. I contacted Evolv and they asked me to do a hard reset. Now it works fine. However, it will help to get some Gyan on how to make sure that the DNA Mod is sensing temp control coils
