Hi I am keen to know if there are any alternative Drip Tips (mouthpiece) available as accessories in place of the standard Stainless Steel ones. I am looking for something perhaps in different materials. Find many outside of India but none here

The question is, nobody is so deep into selling Rs 100 drip tips bhai. You won't find any here in India. May be someone who has a few to spare, might just send one to you but there's no shop where you can find drip tips at proper prices. Obviously, you wouldn't like to pay Rs 500 or more for just 1 drip tip

          Re: Drip tips

Having figured that drip tips are really not available easily considering that it's really inexpensive and you spend about 3 times the cost even for a local courier. I have gone about measuring a few and have come up with the following drawing for all you DIY enthusiasts with access to a machine shop. mind you this is version 1 of the drawing and hence it is quite possible that it has errors. I am hence posting the image of the drawing on this site to seek expert opinion on whether or not anyone.

I am going to try and make my own drip tips, and any advice on dimensions and other inputs will be highly appreciated. Will keep you posted on the results of the same once i have it ready.

Might go with stainless steel initially as it is easier to machine.

For some reason i am unable to attach the image file to this post which is a pity... Shall try it again else as another post with the same topic

              Re: Drip tips

Nice .. but considering the overall length of the DT, I'd love to see 2 o-rings in the base. I do see O-Ring#2 but don't see the O-Ring#1 anywhere. Good drawing .. Kudos

Andy, thanks for the input, actually the oring #2 is the class of the oring, shall incorporate your suggestion and repost...

Another question though, is the overall length too much? Just a question

If I do get some more feedback it will be great so I can take it to my tool room... [emoji4]

                  Re: Drip tips

Well the length of the drip tip is totally a 'user preference'. Some like it long, some like the short ones. People prefer longer drip tips so that they can avoid the heat to get cooler vape. But some people go for the shortest sized drip tip. I've seen people hugging 15mm (overall length) drip tips. I like about 20mm long drip tips ... 15mm is good enough for lips to wrap around and not get too close to the atty. But again, that's 'my preference' .. there's nothing universal about it

If you'd like to know my preference/liking .. I like 15 to 20mm long drip tips (overall length including base). Wide bore on top and wide bore on bottom. Here are some of the drip tips I have recently ordered ...

I prefer 20-22mm in length and 9-10mm inner diameter cause the smaller inner diameter gives me more flavour

I think you got something mixed up there bro ... Even 6mm "inner diameter" is huge. 9-10 mm inner diameter isn't even possible

I guess. Never really measured. See FT SKU2034101. This is one of the tips I really like.

                              Hi,

Thanks for your feedback and suggestions Andy and Anandm, I have incorporated 2 O-Rings in the planned design and have had to make some minor re-adjustments so as to maintain the overall length of 30 mm to start, this is because of the incorporation of the two O-Rings. I have taken the 1st O-Ring to butrest with the flanged portion as i found that this will help prevent air leakage from this section.

The Central bore has a diameter of 4 mm, this was to maintain the overall material of 2.5mm at the walled section. Once i get a hang of it, I will try and open it up for version 2 to say 5mm diameter or perhaps even 6 if it works ok.

Please let me have your inputs on these modifications.
